"Why the DA can't save South Africa" is available as an ebook for now, while I wait for publishers to respond

You can purchase it here, on Amazon US - for some reason South Africa as a “preferred market” wasn’t an option, and I don’t know how all of that works, so you can only find it on the American site.

I have applied to publishers, but I wanted to have it out before the local government elections in November, and Jonathan Ball (a near-monopoly publisher in SA) told me I could only hear back in (IIRC) October, and their printing run begins in February, so I thought I’d let it out early.

I have a couple more books planned (four actually), but I’m not sure which of them I’ll tackle first, so we shall see.

My book basically does what it says on the tin, though I didn’t want to be too polemic about it, so it’s not an invective-laden take-down so much as a steady argument explaining that there are insuperable obstacles to attaining a majority and achieving proper and necessary reforms at the same time, as well as several time constraints on turning the country around.

I also go into some detail on how the DA handles local corruption scandals, to illustrate their lack of will in that department, which bodes ill for their ability to constrain or transform governance.

Also, I deal with their ideological influences and party history, as well as some details about the nature of the current national questions, so I think I have covered a lot of ground.

It’s about 350 pages, so it should be meaty enough to justify the price (hopefully).
